Problem with NL240 Wireless Network Link Interface

Roorthuis Sep 26, 2017 02:24 PM

Im trying to connect the CR1000 to the NL240 Wireless Network Link Interface. I got the following issue when configuring the NL240, I can only connect to the datalogger via WIFI when both NL240 and Loggernet are connected to the same network, to the same SSID.

How can I configure the NL240 modem so that remote connection is possible? I would like to connect to the CR1000 datalogger from a remote computer.

Many thanks,

Raül

A public IP address would need to get routed to the NL240. Here is a good article to read for some basic understanding of IP communications.

You would need port forwarding rules in routers to get from a public IP address to the NL240.

If you don't have security priviledges needed for port forwarding, you could use a public IP address in between for both the NL240 and Loggernet to connect to. One option for that is the Konect Pakbus Router service.
