I'm using CH200 charge controllers to regulate power obtained from a Uni-Solar 11W solar panel, a CR1000, and Odyssey PC545 (7 AHr) AGM batteries at numerous locations. I've recently learned that most of my batteries have become sulfated because they are never getting put into Cycle charging.
I've been playing with various strategies for forcing the CH200 to induce cycle charging, the most promising of which is to set observed battery capacity to 1 instead of 7. This helps create the condition whereby cycle charging is called (Qloss is >= 20% of battery capacity) in my application.
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a command that allows me to send my own Qloss value to the CH200 so that I can control when the unit is in cycle charging, or a command that forces the CH200 into cycle charging? Being able to do either would provide me with direct control of operating my batteries so that sulfation is reduced or eliminated.
