Hello,
We are planning to place CR300-215 in different locations, mostly indoors. Noticed that the Campbell antennas for 3G are too big for our use. Can we use 3rd party 3G/4G LTE 3dB SMA antennas with CR300?
And maybe someone can comment, does plastic enclosures affect the cellular signal and if it does, does any regular SMA type extenders work?
Any 3G/4G antenna with an SMA connector should work. Fiberglass and plastic enclosures do not harm the signal. If you have sufficient signal strength at the site, you can probably just use a whip antenna such as this one:

You do want to verify signal strength in that room of the building before deciding on an antenna. Buildings with newer energy efficient windows have weak signal strength inside. The heat reflective material also happens to reduce RF transmission.
How true is it that it would be advisable not to have antennas too close to the logger and mV sensor cables with sections of cable near the logger terminal block without a screen?
I've always had this worry.....

Cell frequencies are up in the Mhz range. The integration of the AtoD in the data logger will filter that high frequency noise.
