Apologies if this is answered elswhere - I am repurposing a retired 2010 vintage CR1000 for use with meteorological sensors and want to write data to a NAS server (or PC on the network). I run PC400 v1.5 and just want to use what I have in hand, avoiding the cost of buying loggernet, latest version of PC400 and the inevitable cycle of upgrades etc.
Q1 Does anyone know if the current ND121 ethernet module can be configured using just Device Configurator and set up to write via ftp using the legacy kit I have? (i.e. without Loggernet?)
Q2 Can anyone suggest any alternative ways to write output tables to a server with whats in hand?
many thanks for any advice

You should update your PC software, even if that means installing the free PC200W on your machine.
You should also update the operating system of your datalogger, which by the way is also free.
You can use Device Configuration Utility to update the datalogger and to configure it. The datalogger controls everything about the NL121 Ethernet interface.
You can use CRBasic to program the datalogger to send table data. Some instructions of interest would include: FTPClient(), HTTPPut(), HTTPPost(), and EmailRelay() to send the data via FTP(S), HTTP(S), or Email.
Hopefully, you'll be so pleased with the solution that you'll happily upgrade your PC400 or LoggerNet license or even your CR1000 to CR1000X.
Cheers,
Thanks, appreciate the reply! I'm going to get the NL121 and update firmware and PC400. Always reluctant to upgrade the PC as something always comes back to bite you when a load of other stuff ceases to work.... However, needs must...
all the best, dave
