Hi,
Is there any other way to update the CR300 series loggers internal webserver? The network it is running on does not have a public internet connection. I am just using the default for now but would be nice to update. I am on OS 10.02
Which leads me to, does the update fix the issue with websockets not using the correct port? Say you are port forwarding through a modem from 8080 to 80?
Currently it just gets document.location.host and path but not the port as well. Hoping the update fixes that?
Cheers
Ryan
The webserver that the CR300 executes is tied directly to the Operating System (OS/Firmware), so to implement changes for how the webserver operates, you must update the OS.
You can use Device Configuration Utility (DevConfig) to update the OS manually, after downloading the firmware/OS .obj file from the Campbell Website (I am assuming you want to do a manual OS update since the Automatic Update doesn't work without an internet connection). You can see what changed between OS 10.02 and 10.03 by looking at the change history when you get the new OS file. That should indicate whether the websocket changes you need are in 10.03 or not.
When you are disconnected from the CR300 but have that logger type highlighted/selected in DevConfig, you will see the "SendOS" tab which will allow you to browse to the .obj file and send the new operating system to the logger. If you don't have a local/wired connection to the logger, you can also connect to it (via TCP/IP for example) and then use the "Send" option button in the File Control tab to send the .obj file across and load up the new OS.
Please contact your local customer support representative for any further clarifications you might need about the websockets and other web server related issues in OS 10.03. We will need a more detailed explanation of what you are seeing and how it interferes with what you are trying to accomplish, etc.
