With the 9522b reaching end of life and Campbell no longer selling them... what is/are the current best hardware alternatives for rugged (arctic and Antarctic) iridium telemetry integrated with Campbell loggers?
Hi,
9522b may still be available from other suppliers for a while. I don't know where you're based, but a company called Wireless Innovation in the UK produced a product called a MiChroSat which contained a 9522b in a ruggedised housing and with circuitry to eg configure and reboot the unit on a schedule for example too. That product may be of interest, but again, they are reaching end of life. I think they are developing an alternative, but not ready just yet. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply- I will look into the MiChroSat and see if those are available and at what price point. I am based in the US so I am not sure abotu sourcing from the UK. Nonetheless- thank you for the info. There is another company NAL Research that also produces a potential alternative the A3LA-R that I am looking into along with the Tera modem from MetOcean based on the 9523 iridium modem.
Artyb, Call our Logan office and speak with Terrell Fletcher. He can get you lined up with an Iridium solution.
Thanks GaryTRoberts, it's furban who's in the US and looking for a solution though.
There may be some Iridium NEXT (the satellites have been upgraded) solutions produced in time that would be comparable too.
