Hello everyone
I need to measure temperature through 5 PT100 sensors, which are not from campbell. The sensors are 3-wire and have a measurement range of -20 ° C / + 100 ° C. I have a CR1000x and an AM16 / 32B, however I do not have a 3WHB10K.
Is it possible to carry out the measurement without using a 3WHB10K even though this leads to measurement errors? If so, what type of sensor should I use when creating the program in the shortcut wizard? What would the wiring be like?
Thanks a lot!
You can carry out the measurement without the 3WHB10K. But you need a fixed resistor of known value and high precesion and preferable very low temperature coefficient. 100 Ohm will be ideal but you can use 1000 Ohm as well. These fixed resistors will be wired in series with your sensor resistor and excited by Vx1-Vx4 excitation channels on CR1000x. You can excite more than one sensor using one excittaion channel. If you further want to discuss the wiring etc. please send me an e mail at asinghatcambellscidotcom
Hello Ask. First of all, thank you very much for your quick response.
I tried to contact you by mail, but I'm not sure if it reached you because I couldn't quite understand the address you left me. If you could write it again or contact me I would appreciate it very much, my email is fabricio.advis@alumnos.usm.cl
I would like to express my thanks to Aks, who helped me with the application described above. In addition to providing me with the code and the wiring diagram, he helped me answer my questions. He was always available and quick in his responses.
