Congratulations, LoggerLink is fantastic.
If I connect my Smartphone by wifi is ok, but I have a problem when I don’t use wifi, LoggerLink does not connect. Can you help me?. Thanks.
Is your datalogger IP address public or is it on a private network?
Hello,
I do not know, but when I have access to the datalogger I'm in the same wifi network of the company. The IP starts by 212.128……
When trying to connect to your logger over the cellular network you will need
- A smartphone with a cellular data plan. I.e. you need to be able to access the WWW with your phone.
- A datalogger accessible via a public IP address. I.e. it needs to be accessible from outside your local area network. 212.128.x.x should be a public IP address.
Sometimes when trying to access a device over WiFi you need to turn off cellular ... I've seen the iPhones (mainly) fail to connect because it keeps trying out over cell instead over WiFi. But it doesn't sound like this applies to you.
It sounds like the logger is on a your local area network right? And not on a cellular modem?
I have a Smartphone with a cellular data plan. I use android software (Samsung).
Now I have testing the app. In the local area network, but I like to user outside of my local area network.
When your smart phone is connected via the cell service, the connection to the station will come from an outside address even though your smart phone is physically located in the facility. If your facility has any sort of firewall or NAT router, you will need to have your IT people set up router rules and/or port forwarding rules in order to reach the datalogger from the cellular network.
