Hello to all,
I want to connect 8 Pt100 (3wires) to CR1000 for temperature registration.
1) is it possible 8 Pt100 with one CR1000? if no what will be max number?
2) Is There any wiring diagram for multi temp. sensor connect to cr1000
3)Must I use for every PT100 one 4WPB100 (what is basically 10k and 100 ohm presition resistors)
4) can someone help me with the programming?
5) what is the procedure to calibrate all the sensors?
Thanks for fast reply
Best regards
Short Cut (SCWIN - http://www.campbellsci.com/scwin) program generator supports programming of the PT100 using a 3 wire or 4 wire terminal input module from CSI. Support is available only in the "CSL Sensor support" mode for SCWIN -- from the main menu select Settings | Sensor Support | Campbell Scientific Ltd. The sensor tree will repopulate and the two PRT measurements will be listed under the Temperature sensor branch.
CSL also has a manual on their web site:

Dana
for using only the CR1000 (with no multiplexer) how much PT100 (with 3wires) in 4 wire bridge configuration can be hooked on it?
Please i need more information.
Thanks for you reply.

Using ShortCut as described by Dana, you can connect all 8 of your PT100 sensors to the CR1000 using the 3WHB10K module from Campbell Scientific. If you use the 4WPB100 you can only connect 4 of your PT100 sensors.
If you give me your email address I'll email you the ShortCut file which will have all the info you need to accomplish your task, including the wiring and programming.
