I'm trying to connect to a CR1000 datalogger using satellite connection.
Datalogger is connected via a NULL MODEM DB9 CABLE (female to female with gender changer, ports on modem and datalogger are seriale rs232 female) to a Michrosat 2403 modem (from Wireless Innovations)
Wireless Innovations provides a remote desktop with Loggernet from which I can make satellite calls to the datalogger's modem.
The first time I tried the communication test, it was all ok and I also could retrieve some data from CR1000 tables.
Then it stopped working. I could only establish connection to modem but CR1000 seemed to be not responding, altough I had verified that it was working connecting to it directly via serial cable from pc.
During all the time satellite signal quality was optimal.
What it could be the problem?
Hi
you've tried to see what traffics in "view I / O (low level log)", and then directly to the serial port of the CR1000? while the connection attempt is in progress.
Loggernet->Status Monitor->LogTool->view->view I/O (low level log)->com3
Smile
I'm sorry, at the moment i only have the i/o log form remote wireless innovations loggernet, but it has no errors or strange behaviours. At this point could the problem be in the connection between modem and datalogger?
