Hello Everyone,
I am currently working on a project where I am trying to make a network of nearby stations on the same PakBus networking using loggernet as router.
There is already one station running on a CR10X and using 401's to report to logger via ComPort. Two CR1000s have been added at a nearby location and I would like to make them share the same network using RF450s.
The problem is that the CR10X is a not a PakBus and when trying to upgrade it to a CR10X-PB, the output table comes out differently and I would love to keep the same output table.
Is there an efficient way to have a network using RF450s and without having to upgrade the CR10X station to a CR1000?
Thanks.

If all 3 dataloggers (2 CR1000s and one CR10X) are each connected to a RF450 configured as slaves, will it be possible to collect data from each of them with a master RF450 connected to the computer?
Rather than having all of them under a PAkBus network, I would then add a root for each of them and access them through the same ComPort (COM1 in my case).
What do you guys think? Is it possible? Will the baud rate be a problem (9600 for CR10X and 115.2k for CR1000)?
Thanks.
* The RF401's and RF450's can not talk to each other. The do not use the same over-the-air communication protocol.
* In regards to your first post, you could continue to use COM1 for the RF401 with the CR10X. Then you could add a base RF450 to COM2 to talk to the CR1000's. You'll want to offset collection with the RF450's and RF401's so they do not interfere with each other.
* In regards to your second post, you'll want to update the CR10X to a CR10X-PB. If you want to continue to save the data in the mixed-array format, then choose that output format in LoggerNet. In the LoggerNet manual, see section 4.2.4.4.4, Output Format = "Array Compatible CSV"
Thank you for your reply.
*I was thinking of swapping the current RF401s to RF450s in order to make the CR10X communicate with a master RF450 from the office. So, according to my plans, there would be no RF401s anymore.
*As for the ComPort, the only port available right now is COM1 and is currently used by the RF401s (getting data from the CR10X). So, with the 2 new CR1000 stations, I am going to have to find a way to use only COM1 for all three stations.
*thanks for the information regarding the CR10X-PB and the output table format. I will investigate it as well in case I will have to use that route.
Thanks.
Sir I am having problem in communicating CR10 X with Rf 401 A
Can you tell me how to upgrade CR10X to CR10X-PB
If you change to RF450, you would definitely need to use the CR10X-PB OS.
You can get the OS from the downloads section of the product page.
https://www.campbellsci.com/cr10x
Your datalogger programs will need to be updated. The CR10X-PB OS structures stored data in tables.
