The CS410 Shaft Encoder for water level measurement has been redesigned.
The old design used a "silver-in-glass" technology which resulted in a high starting torque. The new design uses an optical sensor that reduces the starting torque to < 0.125 in-oz, considerably less than the previous design. The resolution of the CS410 is ±0.01 feet using a standard one-footcircumference pulley. The low price, high resolution, and environmentally rugged construction of the CS410 make it ideal for many surface water applications.
